The Glock FM78 Field Knife Black is a combat field knife recognized by numerous units around the world. Developed in 1975 in cooperation with the Austrian special unit Jagdkommando, it quickly became the official combat knife of the Austrian army. Its simplicity, robustness and reliability make it an ideal tool for professionals, uniformed personnel, collectors, as well as for survival and outdoor enthusiasts.
The sheath, made of hardened polymer, identical to the handle, ensures secure storage and quick removal of the knife with one hand. The blade with a Clip-Point profile, made of durable SAE 1095 spring steel, hardened to 55 HRC, is coated with a phosphate layer to resist corrosion. The smooth Plain-type edge, with a thickness of 5 mm, is ideal for cutting, piercing, chopping, splitting or even digging.
The ergonomic handle, made of the polymer used in Glock pistols, provides a secure grip. The back of the handle can be transformed into a spear point, which improves the functionality of the knife in survival conditions.
